After my finals let out at the end of my senior year of college, I was on a plane to Bangkok, Thailand less than 48 hours later. That’s where I picked up this mahogany elephant. At first I thought the tusks might be ivory, but they fortunately turned out to be plastic. Bangkok has elephants pictured everywhere: flags, clothes, you name it.
